What to do

The campsite is located »in the middle of nowhere«, making it ideal for exploring blooming meadows, mysterious forests and stargazing. For the active ones, there are kilometres of gravel roads and field trails for cycling and hiking. Cerknica Lake, Rakov Škocjan, Križna jama and Gorski Kotar with the Risnjak National Park, river Kolpa are just some of the natural wonders in the neighbourhood. A short walk will take you to the white beauty – Snežnik castle.

Cerknica lake

One of the largest dissapearing lakes in Europe is just a few kilometers away from the campsite. A great option for a cycling trip. Bike rental is also possible from local providers.

Cycling

You can go cycling and explore just the surrounding area. You can turn towards lake Cerknica or deep into the forest, all the way to mountain Snežnik. A slightly more demanding but extremely beautiful tour is through Gorski kotar, towards the sea or to the Kolpa river. We can also arrange bike rental for you.

Hiking

You can explore the surroundings of the campsite on a circular trail around the Loška valley. You can start it right from the camp and walk it in a few hours. More information is available at the reception. There are several options for starting your tour to Snežnik mountain, the highest non-alpine peak in Slovenia.

Rakov škocjan

You can combine a visit to Lake Cerknica with Rakov Škocjan. It is best to get to know it on the circular path. In addition to two natural bridges, you discover the karst world and the mysterious path of water.

Visiting the castle, which keeps the belongings of the last owners, takes you back 100 years in time. The castle park also hides many secrets, which are best discovered by a local guide.
